Today is your lucky day, because if you follow my Instagram, you know that I’m doing a giveaway for a $50 store credit for Amanda and Meleah’s Agnes & Dora shop! 😍 Amanda and I were introduced through my sister awhile back and she asked if I would partner up with her and her sister for a fun giveaway and a review of some of their pieces. After briefly looking at their adorable inventory, I happily agreed! We picked out a few pieces together and Amanda and Meleah sent me them to review and style, so below is a review of my experience with them and three different ways I styled the beautiful pieces they sent me!
- So first off for those of you wondering, what is Agnes & Dora?
A&D is a clothing company that essentially sells it’s product via independent representatives! You have to apply and be accepted to become a rep, and then the reps purchase inventory from A&D to sell in their online shops. Each rep can choose to sell whatever inventory they want, whichever way they want! Some sell via their social media pages in first-come-first-serve posts and live videos, some set up boutiques in their homes, and some just sell from their online shops! Amanda and Meleah sell a variety of ways, and they utilize their Facebook page to sell inventory as well as gather feedback on what their clients want to see in their shop so they can tailor to them, which I thought was super cool and unique. I love any company that encourages women to become entrepreneurial in all walks of life, whether that be while they are moms, wives, single, etc, and that is something right off the bat that made me love the company!
- Look one, classic gingham dress
When I saw the Nightingale Dress, it was love at first sight. Not only is the wrap style super flattering and feminine, but I am a sucker for a classic, timeless print like gingham! I immediately felt the difference in quality when I put it on, the material was thick, high quality, and very comfortable. I knew I wanted to play off of the retro-flare of the pattern, so I went with some rounder sunnies and wedges to give it a little bit of an updated feel on a classic look. (I am wearing an XS in all of A&D pieces for reference :).)Dress: A&D “Nightingale Dress in Gingham Girl”, Wedges: DSW ($10 off your purchase right now with code SEPTEMBER2017,) Sunnies: Francesca’s (on sale 2 for $20 right now!), Tote: Altar’d State (identical HERE,) Tassel earrings: Altar’d State.
- Look two, day-to-night top
This Muse top really meets every gal’s need for good, basic pieces (sizes L-XXXL here.) A flattering cut in a versatile color and the possibilities to style it are endless! Like the dress, the top is a soft, high quality fabric that I feel is definitely worth the price! Something else I noticed and really love about A&D that is evident with this top is the sizes they carry and the models they use. They carry XXS to XXXL in this top and use women of all sizes to model their clothing, which I just adore. I, along with many women, are tired of airbrushed models that only represent one body type! A&D has models that are both short and tall, thin and curvy, and they carry clothing for all sizes, which I find so refreshing! I styled it with day-to-night wear in mind, with a lighter pant and shoe that work with the weather down here currently (still warm unfortunately!) Once it gets a little cooler down here in the south, I cannot wait to pair this with a big scarf, jeans and booties/boots! Top: A&D “Muse Top in black“, Leggings: Dress Up Boutique (sold out, similar HERE for $19,) Booties: Shoedazzle (only available in black,) Sunnies: Francesca’s, Tote: Altar’d State (identical HERE,) Necklace: Altar’d State (similar,) Earrings: Altar’d State.
- Look three, versatile floral pencil skirt
This look might just be my favorite of the three, although how could I choose?! There’s just something about a pencil skirt that makes you feel fierce. Ready to take care of business, haha! Add to it a beautiful floral print and you have yourself a winner right there! Every woman deserves to have pieces that make her feel feminine and confident. This pencil skirt does that for all difference body types, hugs your curves and make you feel like you could walk a catwalk! To throw a little modern into the mix with the floral and the cut, I wore a edgy version of a nude pump and a pink suede necklace/choker. Tank: T.J. Maxx, Pencil skirt: A&D (this floral print is currently sold out of Amanda and Meleah’s shop, but there are several other colors and patterns HERE,) Nude pumps: Marshals (HERE for under $50 and Amazon has them for under $36,) Tote: Altar’d State (identical HERE,) Suede necklace: Dress Up Boutique (similar HERE,) Earrings: Altar’d State.
I can very confidently conclude that these pieces will now become staples in my wardrobe that I will continue to style even as the temperature drops! And that Amanda and Meleah have a new loyal client! ☺️ I would highly recommend following their Facebook page like I do to see when they get new inventory in, and don’t forget to go enter the giveaway on Instagram for a $50 shop credit for their site! It’s super easy and you can use it to snag one of these beautiful pieces above!
What is your favorite look of the three? 💕
