It’s the Little Things

Waitin’ on the bus…:)

Dear followers,

I am happy to report that I am back to blogging and this time, committing! I had just been so busy with finishing up my semester when I had started Konnor with a K that I decided it was best to wait till summer. You know that feeling you get in the first few weeks of summer where you feel like the best you can do is roll out of bed in terms of preparation? Yeah, that’s what I have been experiencing. After much procrastination, I finally decided that as soon as I went to visit my sisters up in Athens that I would resume blogging on a regular basis. Woop woop! 🙂 So, since I’m relatively new to being a part of the blogger-sphere, a re-occurring thought I always seemed to have about other fashion blogs as well as vlogs (video blogs for those who are learning blog vocab like me!) was that these people just seemed to have unlimited resources, and that it would be impossible for someone such as my self with a tight budget to do anything similar. When I read comments on these posts, I found that other people thought the same. Knowing from experience that several people feel this way from following blogs similar to mine, I felt that I should clarify that I do not go and shop for a new outfit every day for a new post. One reason being a fashion blogger is so tough is because of the fact that you need to be smart about using what you already have, buying the occasional addition here and there to create new combinations with existing items. For example, this week I got my satchel on sale for $16 from Target because I had a gift card, and a bracelet from Ave Maria because I had not bought myself any form of jewelry in months. Hard work, but it is also a lot of fun! 😀 I view fashion as another form of art, an expression of yourself, and people should by no means feel limited by the fact that they can’t shop whenever they feel like it. Be creative and fun, enjoy it when you’re able to buy yourself something new, but don’t be afraid to dig up something old. Please keep following and giving feed back 🙂

Love,

Konnor with a K
